The U.S. Department of Energy and the North Carolina Clean Energy Technology Center are excited to announce that a new, modernized DSIRE is under construction. The new version of DSIRE will offer significant improvements over the current version, including expanded data accessibility and an array of new tools for site users. The new DSIRE site will be available in December 2014. Staff are currently working hard on the new version of DSIRE but are also maintaining the content of the current version of DSIRE. Amount:Central A/C: $225 - $275, varies by efficiency rating

Marathon Water Heater: $150
Heat Pump Water Heater: $250
Eligible System Size:The air-condition capacity sizing ratio must exceed 500 square feet per ton
Marathon Water Heater: 40 Gallons
Equipment Requirements:Central AC: Minimum 14 SEER
Heat Pump Water Heater: UL listed and EF of 2.0 or greater
Installation Requirements:New homes are not eligible for rebates
Must be installed by an Air-conditioning contractor with valid contractor license
Outdoor condensing units, indoor evaporating coil, and air handler must be new and matched as shown in the current A.R.I. directory

Summary:

Magic Valley Electric Cooperative's Value Incentive Program (VIP) offers consumers incentives for the installation of new central heat pump systems, dual fuel heating systems, central air conditioners, water heaters and heat pump water heaters in single family homes. The rebate varies depending on the equipment type and efficiency rating. This rebate is not valid for new construction. MVEC also provides rebates to A/C dealers to encourage them to sell energy efficient units. Dealers can receive a $40 rebate for selling A/C units with a 14 SEER or greater, and $50 for selling heat pumps with a 14 SEER or greater. All equipment requirements must be met in order to qualify for rebates. Contact MVEC for more information on the Value Incentive Program.
