Summary:
The City of San Marcos offers an Energy Efficient Home Rebate Program for the installation of HVAC equipment, insulation types/levels, duct leakage, windows and doors. A homeowner or tenant with written consent may apply; however, only existing homes qualify for the Energy Efficient Home Rebate Program. Energy efficient products eligible for the rebate program include:
- Central HVAC Systems
- Attic and Wall Insulation
- Radiant Barrier
- Duct Sealing or Replacement
- Windows
- Doors
- Window Film
- Solar Screen
- Window AC Units.
Applicants will receive an additional 10% bonus if local contractors are used in retrofit work.
