The U.S. Department of Energy and the North Carolina Clean Energy Technology Center are excited to announce that a new, modernized DSIRE is under construction. The new version of DSIRE will offer significant improvements over the current version, including expanded data accessibility and an array of new tools for site users. The new DSIRE site will be available in December 2014. Staff are currently working hard on the new version of DSIRE but are also maintaining the content of the current version of DSIRE. Applicable Sectors: Commercial, Industrial, Nonprofit, Schools, Construction, Agricultural, Institutional, All Non-Residential Customers
Amount:Natural Gas Furnaces: $10 - $20 x CAP in MBtu3
Fan Motors for Furnaces: $50
Natural Gas Boilers: $3 - $7 x CAP in MBtu3
Water Heaters: $15
Programmable Thermostats: $25
Lighting: $3 - $11.50/lamp
Pulse start metal halide fixtures: $30
LED Exit Signs: $40 fixture
Room Air Conditioner: $40 plus, $20 - $300/ton depending on SEER level
Equipment Requirements:Room Air Conditioner: ENERGY STARĀ®-rated
Furnaces (Natural Gas): minimum 92 AFUE
Boilers (Natural Gas): minimum 85 AFUE
Natural Gas Storage Water Heaters: minimum 30 gallons and 0.65 EF
Programmable Thermostats: For gas heat/electric cooling or gas heat only. 5-1-1, 5-2 or 7-day, must use 2 or more setbacks

MidAmerican Energy offers a variety of incentives for commercial customers to improve the energy efficiency of facilities. Qualified natural gas equipment includes furnaces, furnace fan motors, boilers and programmable thermostats.
