Summary:
Marshall Municipal Utilities (MMU) offers a variety of incentives for its residential customers to install energy-efficient equipment in homes. Rebates are available for ENERGY STAR equipment, including:
- clothes washers
- refrigerators and freezers
- dishwashers
- room A/C units
- water heaters
- central A/C
- heat pumps
Customers who qualify for the Commercial Interruptible Rate are also eligible for rebates on dual fuel systems, stored heat and alternative heat sources. Customers seeking rebates for central A/C units, heat pumps or water heaters must participate in the Load Management Program and are eligible to receive an additional $3 monthly credit for 4 summer months.
In addition to ENERGY STAR equipment rebates, MMU offers an ENERGY STAR Home Rebate program in which they assist homeowners and contractors in achieving Energy Star certification. MMU will rebate the entire cost of design review, third party home performance verification and testing, and ENERGY STAR certification (up to $1,000) for new homes located in MMU’s service territory.
