The U.S. Department of Energy and the North Carolina Clean Energy Technology Center are excited to announce that a new, modernized DSIRE is under construction. The new version of DSIRE will offer significant improvements over the current version, including expanded data accessibility and an array of new tools for site users. The new DSIRE site will be available in December 2014. Staff are currently working hard on the new version of DSIRE but are also maintaining the content of the current version of DSIRE. Storage Space Heating: $25/kW
Storage Water Heater: $300
Air Source Heat Pump: $330 - $630
Geothermal Heat Pump: $200/ton

AC Tune-up: $25
Equipment Requirements:Storage Space Heating: minimum of 5 kW electric heat installed
All appliances and air conditioners must be Energy Star rated
AC/Heat Pump: minimum SEER of 13
Installation Requirements:Air conditioners: must be installed by a certified HVAC contractor

Summary:
Note: Rebates are only available for the purchase of a new Energy Star rated appliance purchased on or after January 1, 2014. 
 
Stearns Electric Cooperative offers a variety of rebates to residential and farm members for making energy efficiency improvements in eligible homes. Rebates are available for Energy Star appliances, HVAC equipment, and water heating equipment. All appliances must be Energy Star rated, and other equipment must also meet specific efficiency standards. Certain HVAC rebates may vary based upon system efficiency. Rebates and additional program information can be found on the program web site.
