Summary:
Hutchinson Utilities Commission (HUC) offers a rebate of up to $500 to residents of Hutchinson who perform energy conservation improvements to their home. Rebates are available for a variety of energy efficient equipment including furnaces, boilers, air conditioners, geothermal and air-source heat pumps, water heaters, refrigerators, dishwashers, clothes washers, dehumidifiers, programmable thermostats, and CFLs. All equipment must meet certain energy efficiency standards listed on the program web site. Rebates are also available for air conditioner and furnace tune-ups. The rebate applications must include an original itemized sales receipt and are processed on a first-come, first-served basis.
