The U.S. Department of Energy and the North Carolina Clean Energy Technology Center are excited to announce that a new, modernized DSIRE is under construction. The new version of DSIRE will offer significant improvements over the current version, including expanded data accessibility and an array of new tools for site users. The new DSIRE site will be available in December 2014. Staff are currently working hard on the new version of DSIRE but are also maintaining the content of the current version of DSIRE. Refrigerators/Freezers: $25, plus $15 bonus if properly recycled
Room Air Conditioners: $25, plus $15 bonus if properly recycled
Compact Fluorescent Light Bulbs: 50% of cost
CFL Light Fixtures: $15
LED Bulbs: $10 - $15
LED Fixtures: $20
Central AC/Ductless Mini Split(<20,000 BTU): $100, plus $25 for per SEER above base
Furnace Fan Motors: $50
Air Source Heat Pumps(<20,000 BTU): $100, plus $25 for per SEER above base
Geothermal Heat Pumps: $200/ton plus $150 per SEER above base, plus $250 bonus with desuperheater
Equipment Requirements:All appliances must be ENERGY STAR rated
Central A/C: Minimum SEER of 14.5
Geothermal Heat Pumps: Minimum EER 17.1, COP 3.6 (Water-to-Air); EER 16.1, COP 3.1 (Water-to-Water)
Air Source Heat Pumps: SEER of 14.5
Furnace Fan Motor: Minimum 92% AFUE

Rochester Public Utilities (RPU) offers incentives to residential customers for installing energy-efficient equipment in participating homes through the Conserve and Save Rebate Program. These incentives are available for a variety of appliances, air conditioners, heat pumps, furnace fan motors and custom measures. All program equipment requirements must be met in order to receive rebates. Applications for measures installed in the previous year must be received by March 31 of the following year. Rebates are available until calendar year program funding is exhausted. Contact RPU for any additional information.
