The U.S. Department of Energy and the North Carolina Clean Energy Technology Center are excited to announce that a new, modernized DSIRE is under construction. The new version of DSIRE will offer significant improvements over the current version, including expanded data accessibility and an array of new tools for site users. The new DSIRE site will be available in December 2014. Staff are currently working hard on the new version of DSIRE but are also maintaining the content of the current version of DSIRE. Amount:Electric water heaters: $50/unit - $300/unit
Heat pump water heaters: $400/unit
Geothermal heat pumps: $1,000/unit - $2,200/unit
Air-to-air heat pump or central air conditioning: $300/unit - $2,200/unit
Air-to-air heat pumps for mobile homes: $300/unit - $2,200/unit
Duct sealing: $250/home - $500/home
Eligible System Size:Electric water heater: minimum 50 gallons
Heat pump water heater: minimum 40 gallons
Duct sealing: minimum 1/16'' mastic
Equipment Requirements:Electric water heater: minimum 0.90 efficiency factor
Air-to-air heat pump or central air conditioning: minimum 15 SEER
Air-to-air heat pumps for mobile homes: minimum 13 SEER
Duct sealing: new homes built in past 2 years not eligible
Limit of one water heater rebate per HVAC unit in home
Limit of two HVAC rebates and one duct sealing rebate per home

Summary:

WIN Energy REMC offers rebates to customers for certain types of energy efficiency equipment. All equipment must meet certain energy efficiency standards listed on the program website. Rebates must be submitted in person, within 30 days of the equipment installation date. All rebate requests must include a bill of sale with the following information: Installation date, model and serial number, speed of unit, SEER rating, size of equipment (tons), previous type of heating system, and location where the unit was installed.
