The U.S. Department of Energy and the North Carolina Clean Energy Technology Center are excited to announce that a new, modernized DSIRE is under construction. The new version of DSIRE will offer significant improvements over the current version, including expanded data accessibility and an array of new tools for site users. The new DSIRE site will be available in December 2014. Staff are currently working hard on the new version of DSIRE but are also maintaining the content of the current version of DSIRE. Amount:Heat Pumps: $300 - $600
Heat Pump (Replace electric resistance heat): $1,800 - $2,200
Geothermal Heat Pump: $1,000 - $2,200
Central Air Conditioning: $300 - $600
Heat Pump Water Heater: $400
Water Heaters: $400
Mobile Home Heat Pump: $300 - $600
Mobile Home Heat Pump (Replace electric resistance heat): $1,800 - $2,200
Electric Home Duct Sealing: Amount of invoice, or up to $500 Gas Home Duct Sealing: Amount of invoice, or up to $250
Eligible System Size:Water Heaters: must be at least 40 gallons
Equipment Requirements:Central Air Conditioning: 15 SEER or higher
Mobile Home Heat Pump: 13 SEER or higher
Duct Sealing Electric/Gas: Home must be two years or older Ducts must be sealed with a minimum of 1/16” mastic

RushShelby Energy provides customers with incentives to help offset the cost of installing energy efficient equipment in participating homes and facilities. Rebates are available for energy efficient central air conditioners, mobile home heat pumps, dual fuel heat pumps, geothermal heat pumps, duct sealing and water heaters. Rebates vary depending on the size and efficiency of the equipment and the type of system that it is replacing. RushShelby Energy will also trade out and collect incandescent bulbs and replace them with 60 and 100 watt equivalent CFLs, free of charge. Interested customers should consult the utility’s website or call the RushShelby office for more information.
