The U.S. Department of Energy and the North Carolina Clean Energy Technology Center are excited to announce that a new, modernized DSIRE is under construction. The new version of DSIRE will offer significant improvements over the current version, including expanded data accessibility and an array of new tools for site users. The new DSIRE site will be available in December 2014. Staff are currently working hard on the new version of DSIRE but are also maintaining the content of the current version of DSIRE. Thank you for your continued support and patience during this transition. We hope you are as excited for December as we are!

Eligible Efficiency Technologies: Refrigerators, Equipment Insulation, Water Heaters, Lighting, Furnaces , Boilers, Building Insulation, Windows, Air sealing, Heat Tape Timers
Eligible Renewable/Other Technologies: Geothermal Heat Pumps
Applicable Sectors: Residential
Amount:50% of the total costs of efficiency opportunities identified by the analyst, up to $500

Residents of Eagle, Pitkin and Gunnison Counties can participate in the Energy Smart Program. The Energy Smart Program helps residents identify, finance, and complete energy improvements in their homes. Interested homeowners can schedule a reduced cost home energy assessment with a qualified Energy Analyst who will come to the home and perform a comprehensive home safety and energy assessment.

There are also a variety of free improvements the Energy Analyst may install at the time of the assessment including thermostats, pipe wrap, weatherstripping and more. The homeowner may also be eligible to receive an Energy Smart rebate for 50% of the total costs of efficiency opportunities identified by the analyst, up to $500. Participants have free access to a Home Energy Advisor to assist with additional incentives and technical support.
