The U.S. Department of Energy and the North Carolina Clean Energy Technology Center are excited to announce that a new, modernized DSIRE is under construction. The new version of DSIRE will offer significant improvements over the current version, including expanded data accessibility and an array of new tools for site users. The new DSIRE site will be available in December 2014. Staff are currently working hard on the new version of DSIRE but are also maintaining the content of the current version of DSIRE. Fort Collins Utilities offers its residential customers low-interest loans that may be used to finance up to 100% of the cost of eligible energy efficiency and renewable energy projects at existing homes, including adding insulation, replacing a furnace, upgrading water and space heating systems, adding a photovoltaic system, and improving building envelope measures. Customers can also use the loan for water service line repair/ replacement (if they are water customers).

A customer repays the loan amount through their regularly scheduled monthly utility bills (i.e., “on-bill financing”). The maximum loan amount is $15,000, and the repayment schedule ranges from 60 to 120 months. Loans are only available for future improvements to existing homes.
