The U.S. Department of Energy and the North Carolina Solar Center are excited to announce that a new, modernized DSIRE is under construction. The new version of DSIRE will offer significant improvements over the current version, including expanded data accessibility and an array of new tools for site users. The new DSIRE site will be available in the summer of 2014. Commercial PV: $5,000
Residential Wind: $1,250
Commercial Wind: $2,500
Eligible System Size:Must qualify as a Net Meter Account
Equipment Requirements:PV equipment must meet IEEE 929 standards, UL 1741 standards, and the NEC code; Minimum 2-year warranty
Solar water heaters must be OG-300 certified
Installation Requirements:System must be installed by a licensed contractor
Ownership of Renewable Energy Credits:SSVEC

Summary:

The SunWatts Program offers home and business owners incentives for purchasing photovoltaic (PV), wind and solar water heating systems. Systems must be grid-connected to be eligible, and meet other program requirements. See website above for complete details. 

SSVEC's rebate program can be combined with their loan program.
